Meet Mary Lou - Coach, Guide, Advisor and Mentor to Caregivers
I know the mental frustration, the emotional anguish, the spiritual turmoil and the physical stress. I remember well the guilt, anger, the despair, the yearning for it all just to go away. Before my Dad passed 13 years ago I was his primary caregiver. And I was lost!
The process was life changing for me – both personally and professionally. I gave up my career in marketing and management to focus on helping other caregivers understand and cope with their situations, using my knowledge to help benefit them and their events.. As a seasoned Life Care Coach, I provide effective, personalized solutions to caregivers, their elderly loved ones and their families who are facing challenges coping with life’s journey. I’ve helped many caregivers, their families and friends as they take the ultimate unselfish journey with their elderly loved ones - usually aging parents. I enjoyed a successful 25-year career in marketing and management. In 2005 I was appointed co-chair of a Seniors Task Force formed by Paul Macklin, former Member of Parliament for Northumberland – Quinte West, Ontario. In 2007 I became a founding member of the Northumberland Elder Abuse Response Network and in 2006 became a member of the Halliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Durham ACTT Community Advisory Committee and the Lakeshore Community Mental Health Services Program Advisory Committee at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Ontario. I am also a member of Medicine Hat CRANE (Community Response to Abuse and Neglect of Elders)

Having been a primary caregiver I’ve been where you are and I know how it feels.
